A Cuddle Infinity Scarf Made Easy with a Bernina Walking Foot!

Linda explains that the best way to use Cuddle scraps is to create warm and snuggly Winter Scarves AND to use a Walking Foot! On her new Bernina Kaffe Fassett 770 Sewing & Embroidery machine she uses the 3-Sole Walking Foot #50.

The All-Purpose Sole Plate is perfect for sewing straight seams through bulky fabric and multiple layers of fabric, preventing shifting. With this foot and it's 3 soles on Bernina machines, or with your walking foot on your own home machine, you can sew... AND quilt a myriad of "challenging" fabrics or multiple layers of fabric & batting!

Linda also notes that a Walking Foot can be used for so much more than seams, and reveals a wonderful book she uses for quilting with a Walking Foot. With artist Jacqui Gering's book, WALK: Master Machine Quilting with Your Walking Foot, you can create wonderful sewn and quilted masterpieces.

The designs described in her book are not only gorgeous and creative, but you'll find that forward-motion quilting with your walking foot is attainable by anyone willing to give it a try. So, hunker down in your sewing studio this winter sewing these beautiful, fluffy Cuddle scarves for your friends and family, especially any non-sewers who will be amazed at your skill and artistry, and be sure to make a run at "walking foot quilting"!
