About the Event

Beginning Quilting Basics 101

Thursdays, January 28, February 4, 11, 18 & March 4, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm

(5 sessions, 2-hours each)

Class fee: $99.00, plus the book Start Quilting with Alex Anderson, fabric & supplies purchased here (includes use of our machines)

You’ll get five 2-hour sessions of the basics of quilting & the use of our new machines. The classes will begin with fabric selection & color theory, then will cover a general overview of quilting with hands-on demos of the basic tools & techniques, such as rotary cutting & strip piecing, and end with methods to sandwiching, quilting & binding for a finished quilt. You’ll learn to make two classic quilts - the Rail Fence and the Nine Patch. Geared toward new quilting customers, the class size is small so you will be able to work closely with your instructor. Have fun, learn to quilt & in the process create beautiful keepsakes!
