Thursdays, January 14 & 21, from 2:30 to 5:00 pm 

Class Fee: $49 plus supplies

(Prerequisite: Beginning Sewing Class or some previous sewing knowledge)

· Essential Supplies and Tools – What to buy now and what to put on your wish list

· Thread – Why is thread important

· Fabric – The basis for a perfect result after all of your hard work

· Patterns – Determining size, type and how to read the back cover

· Laying Out and Cutting a Pattern – Pinning and cutting tips

· Sewing the Perfect Seam – Learn tips for sewing straight lines 

· Sewing curves – De-mystify this!

· Marking Tools and How To’s

· Pressing – Some say proper pressing is more important than sewing (?)

· Removing Stiches – Un-sewing happens to the best of us

· Seam Finishes

· Darts

· Zippers (regular & invisible) – Do not be intimidated when sewing in a zipper

· Hemming – There is more than one way

· Facings – How to have pretty necklines and armholes

· Button Holes – This doesn’t have to be scary

· Other Fasteners – Discover a few options to a button hole
